Peter Phillips, the 46-year-old son of Princess Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, reveals in a new interview that the King is 'frustrated' by the pace of his cancer recovery.

AceShowbiz - It is said that the cancer recovery is taking a toll on King Charles III. The British monarch's nephew Peter Phillips revealed in a new interview that the King is "frustrated" by the pace of his cancer recovery.

Speaking to Sky News Australia, the 46-year-old son of Princess Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, said, "I think, ultimately, he's hugely frustrated." He added, "He's frustrated that he can't get on and do everything that he wants to be able to do."

The 46-year-old, who is visiting Australia as a patron of the charity ISPS Handa, continued, "But, at the same time, he is always pushing his staff and everybody and his doctors and nurses, to be able to say, 'Actually, can I do this, can I do that?' "

He added, "I think the overriding message would be that he's obviously very keen to get back to a former normality and he's probably frustrated that recovery is taking a little longer than probably he would want it to."

The eldest of the late Queen Elizabeth's grandchildren, however, noted that King Charles III is "in good spirits."

Recently, Queen Camilla shared her husband was doing "very well" while greeting fans in Northern Ireland. She added, "He was very disappointed he couldn't come," adding, "I try to keep him in order."

Buckingham Palace announced in February that King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer following a procedure he underwent for an enlarged prostate. However, the Palace didn't reveal what type of cancer that Charles is battling.

"The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure," Buckingham Palace said in a statement in February. "He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible."
