The 'A Simple Favor' actress shares a heavily Photoshopped picture of her holding a can of her beverage products to announce new flavors, jokingly saying that it's the reason she has been 'MIA.'

AceShowbiz - Blake Lively is under fire after turning a royal drama into inspiration for her latest Betty Buzz campaign. Sharing her husband Ryan Reynolds' sense of humor, the actress appears to poke fun at Kate Middleton's Photoshop gaffe in a promo photo for her beverage products, but it has been met with criticism.

On Friday, March 15, the 36-year-old took to her Instagram page to announce new flavors of her Betty Buzz and Betty Booze drinks, which are launching in May. On the first slide, she shared a heavily Photoshopped picture of her holding a can of Betty Booze.

In the image, the "Gossip Girl" alum is sitting on a lounge chair next to a pool and smiling while giving a thumbs-up. The Photoshop fails are made obvious with her abnormally large thumb and a ring warped across a couple of her fingers.

The chair she sits in defies the laws of physics as it doesn't seem to be connected and her body is distorted, with a disproportionate lemon falling from the sky above her. Her leg also looks disproportionately long.

"I'm so excited to share this new photo I just took today to announce our 4 new @bettybuzz & @bettybooze products!" so Blake wrote in the caption. She appeared to poke fun at the Princess of Wales' whereabouts as she added, "Now you know why I've been MIA."

While many found her post hilarious, some royal fans thought it was inappropriate. "Mocking a sick woman in desperate need of privacy. Bravo!" one follower reacted to Blake's post. Another commented, "So sad you would make fun of Kate at this time-she went through major surgery! I am sure money is your God! Enjoy."

A disappointed fan wrote, "I always been a fan, but this 'joke' is so disappointing. Look at all the bullying and hate it's sparked and fueled in these comments." A fourth user similarly said, "Ugh. Using a mom's embarrassing moment to mock her. Seems low and so not what I'd expect from BL."

"I'm very disappointed in you here, Blake," one other weighed in. "I cannot believe you are mocking a nice lady & mother on social media. We just celebrated international women's day where they talked about the cyberbullying of women. And here you are doing just that. Her children are watching pple like you bully their ill mother. Imagine your kids in this situation."

Kate was caught editing her International Mother's Day portrait, which she shared online in the wake of her abdominal surgery in January. She later issued an apology for the blunder, saying, "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused."
