AceShowbiz - Hilaria Baldwin has had a number of social media users come to her defense against backlash. The wife of actor Alec Baldwin was defended after letting her young daughter Carmen Gabriela wear heavy makeup.
On Sunday, February 18, the 40-year-old yoga instructor unveiled a photo from a night out with Carmen. In the snap, it could be seen that both she and her 10-year-old daughter were wearing full-face makeup.
In the picture, Hilaria and Carmen were striking a pose in front of a huge mirror. While Hilaria rocked a short-sleeved denim jumpsuit, Carmen donned a sleeveless brown bodysuit. In addition, the mother's tresses were styled in loose waves. Meanwhile, the young girl's long straight hair cascaded down her back.
Along with the adorable snap, the podcast host explained in the caption of the post, "Date night with my first baby…she did both our makeup. How quickly they get big and how amazing it is to get to be inspired by them. Carmen, you are such a special soul…just like your siblings…all unique and equally incredible."
"Met you today, 13 years ago, @alecbaldwininsta…what a journey we have made…ps edit from Carmen and me here for the birthday wishes we are reading in comments: it's not her bday …it's the day I met Alec. [a red heart emoji] you all," she continued.
After uploading the photo, Hilaria quickly garnered mixed responses from Instagram users. In the comments section, one in particular blasted her, "Shame shame shame. She is too young to be dressed/ made up like this." Another joined in, "She's beautiful but much too young for makeup and an outfit like that. Damn, protect that baby."
Meanwhile, a third defended Hilaria, "Make up or no- makeup, the reason why this beautiful girl stands tall and proud next to her mum is the fact that she has amazing parents, who allow her to explore and be herself. Stop all those discriminating comments and this prejudgment!" Similarly, a fourth penned, "Carmen is growing into a beautiful young woman. She has a strong, beautiful mentor. Mom, you are doing a great job."
In addition to Carmen, Hilaria is a mother to her six other children, whom she shares with Alec. They are Maria Lucia Victoria, Ilaria Catalina Irena, Rafael Thomas, Leonardo Angel Charles, Romeo Alejandro David and Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas.
