AceShowbiz - Ayda Field confessed it is a "challenge" carving out alone time with husband Robbie Williams. The couple - who are parents to Teddy, 11, Charlie, nine, Coco, five, and four-year-old Beau - think it is important to make space in their schedules to spend quality time together without their brood, but it isn't always easy.
"We went out for a date night recently and we don't get to do that often so it was really nice," she told Britain's HELLO! magazine.
"It usually involves Rob and I having dinner or I go to his shows when the kids are asleep - even though there are 80,000 people there, it's just us backstage after the gig. It's a challenge finding that time with four kids but when we do, we make sure that we laugh and connect."
The former "Days of Our Lives" actress loves the fact she and the "Let Me Entertain You" singer can always make one another laugh. She added, "We have a very similar sense of humour - we make each other belly-laugh."
And Ayda appreciates the way the "Angels" hitmaker makes her feel good about herself. She said, "One of Rob's greatest attributes is not giving me flowers or big gifts, but saying really nice things to me and telling me how beautiful and clever I am. It's really cool to have a partner who wants to let you know how great you are."
Robbie turned 50 earlier this week but the family were planning a low-key celebration in Switzerland. Speaking ahead of his special day, Ayda said, "We are going to spoil him with lots of time and love with the children and keep it simple and small. There will be cake. The man loves his cake."
