AceShowbiz - Robert Irwin and his girlfriend Rorie Buckey have gone their separate ways. The son of the late Steve Irwin and the niece of late actor Heath Ledger announced in a joint statement that they've decided to call it quits after two years of dating.
The exes broke the news via Instagram Story on Friday, February 16. "We wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways but profoundly appreciate all the time spent together and wish one another all the very best into the future," they began.
"We wish to express the gratitude and respect we have for one another as we continue our journeys on different paths," the former couple continued. "We won't be commenting further on this, and really appreciate your respect and privacy at this time."
Robert and Rorie, who is studying physiotherapy at Curtin University in Perth, Australia, were first linked in November 2022. However, it was not until July 2023 that they went public with their relationship. At the time, they attended the Sydney premiere of "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" together.
Robert and Rorie later made their romance red carpet official in November of that year. At the time, the pair attended the 2023 Earthshot Prize in Singapore, which celebrates innovative efforts to combat climate change.
Rorie is seemingly close with Robert's family. In October, the Australian conservationist's sister, Bindi Irwin, professed her love for the 19-year-old by sharing a group selfie. She kicked off her caption, "This group right here [one red heart emoji] Grateful for every moment shared."

Bindi went on to note, "My brother's gorgeous girlfriend, @roriebuckey - Sweetest soul, beautiful friend, I love her dearly and you'll usually see Grace just following her around because she adores her." The TV personality then concluded her post by giving a shout-out to her friends.
