The Duke of Sussex talks about the possibility of becoming a full-pledged U.S. citizen, four years after settling down in the states with his wife Meghan Markle.

AceShowbiz - Prince Harry has contemplated seeking US citizenship but it isn't a priority for him at the moment. The 39-year-old prince and his wife Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, gave up their official duties to start a new life in the former actress' native California four years ago and he admitted he has thought about applying for legal recognition in his adopted home, a move that would likely mean he'd have to give up his royal titles and he has "no idea" what has stopped him beginning the process.

"It's amazing. I love every single day," he gushed on "Good Morning America" when asked about life in the US, while in Canada for a launch event for the 2025 Invictus Games.

And asked if he feels American, he laughed, "Do I feel American? Um, no. I don't know how I feel." Questioned on if he would "think about becoming a citizen," Harry replied, "I have considered it, yeah. The thought has crossed my mind but not a high priority right now..."

"I have no idea [why I haven't applied yet]. I'm here standing next to this with these guys and the American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind but certainly not something that is a high priority for me right now."

Harry is "very grateful" to be a father to his and Meghan's two children, Prince Archie, four, and two-year-old Princess Lilibet. He said, "The kids are doing great. The kids are growing up like all kids do incredibly fast. They've got an incredible sense of humour and make us laugh and keep us grounded every single day like most kids do. I'm just very grateful to be a dad."

The former Army Captain loves his involvement with the Invictus Games - which are contested by wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans - because it gives him his "fix" of service.

Asked what keeps him busy, he said, "Everything! The mission continues. Every element of the work continues and before you know it, this time next year, we'll be right here doing all this again...and we're going to have the whole of Whistler and hopefully the whole of Canada screaming these guys on for an epic games..."

"I've always had a love for service. I get my fix being part of this, with these guys. There's no version of me coming here, watching them, and not getting involved myself."
