AceShowbiz - Post Malone ditched his Dallas Cowboys jacket despite being a big fan of the football team per Brittany Mahomes' request. The "Chemical" hitmaker was forced by the wife of Kansas City Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes to trade the outer for a Chiefs merch.
The 28-year-old singer, whose real name is Austin Post, made an appearance at a 2024 Super Bowl after-party, which took place at Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World Las Vegas, Nevada. During the bash, he delivered his song titled "Sunflowers" in front of many Chiefs fans, including Brittany.
In a video from the party that circulated online on Monday morning, February 12, it could be seen that Brittany stepped on a stage to approach Post right after he wrapped up his performance for the particular song. She was documented taking off his Cowboys jacket in front of other partygoers as she seemingly told him to change into a Chiefs outer that she brought.
As seen from his facial expression, Post could not hide the fact that he was shocked by her request. He appeared to have let her know that he was willing to wear the Chiefs jacket only for one song while pointing one of his fingers in front of her face. After she was caught on camera nodding, he seemingly mouthed, "Okay."
The "Enough Is Enough" rapper was then filmed carefully placing the Cowboys jacket on a table before putting on the Chiefs merch with Brittany's help. Once the jacket covered his upper body, she excitedly clapped her hands before they shared a friendly hug. He might have no problem with the request as he was seen smiling from ear-to-ear during their interaction.
After the video went viral on social media, many Instagram users voiced their opinions on Brittany's gesture. One in particular criticized, "Imagine if roles were reversed? This is very cringe." Similarly, another penned, "She tries so hard to be on the spotlight . No one cares about her really." A third wrote, "She's very intrusive and so clingy." A fourth blasted her, "Eww shes so desperate."
Post attended the after-party after he took the stage at the 2024 Super Bowl during the pre-game show on Sunday night, February 11. Ahead of the highly-anticipated match between the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, he delivered "America the Beautiful" and played an acoustic guitar.
