Jay-Z Not Releasing New Album in 2024 Despite Rumors

The 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder' rapper's entertainment company Roc Nation appears to suggest via social media that the speculation about him unleashing a new album is not true.

AceShowbiz - Roc Nation has responded to rumors suggesting that Jay-Z is releasing a new album. The "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" rapper's entertainment company debunked the speculation shortly after it circulated on social media.

On Sunday, January 28, the full-service entertainment company, which was founded by the 54-year-old hip-hop artist, gave its response to a claim about his first set in 2024. Making use of X, formerly known as Twitter, it appeared to have suggested that the rumor was false.

In a tweet, the official X account of the company simply wrote, "That's news to us." It was replying to a tweet that read, "A NEW JAY-Z ALBUM IS BEING TEASED FOR 2024 [a siren emoji] JAY-Z - 2024 ALBUM." The tweet also featured a photo of a sign with a message that read in part, "Jay Z - 2024 album."

After making the clarification, many X users voiced their thoughts on the matter. In the replies section of Roc Nation's tweet, one in particular asked, "Is that the name of the album?" Another joined in, "I guess Roc Nation would be the last to know!"

In the meantime, other users commented on how the company responded to the rumors. One of them penned, " 'That's news to us' is crazy. Blogs need to stop fishing," adding a slew of smiling face with tears of joy emojis. With an addition of laughing emoji, another stated, "Roc Nation said no context notes needed for this one we got this!"

The speculation came around three years after the last time Jay-Z unleashed an album. Recently, the "Show Me What You Got" rapper appeared to be busy working with his company Roc Nation to produce the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show, which will feature Usher as the headliner.

Ahead of Usher's performance at the forthcoming show, Jay-Z, who is also famous as Hov, shared, "He gonna take his rightful place. He's one of the greatest performers that we've seen in our time and I think he'll take his rightful place."
