In a new episode of his SiriusXM show 'Andy Cohen Live', the executive producer of the Bravo show shares the reasons for why producers opted to put Monica on hiatus.

AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen has addressed Monica Garcia's departure from "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" after one season. In a new episode of his SiriusXM show "Andy Cohen Live", Andy shared the reasons for why producers opted to put Monica on hiatus.

"The news is out that we are going to have a cooling-off period," Andy, who serves as one of the executive producers on the show, said. "I think the reunion is the chance to come out [and] say why you did what you did on the season. It's the Supreme Court of public opinion."

He went on to say, "And so Monica had the opportunity, not only to explain herself to the audience but way more importantly, in this case, to the other women. And I don't think she successfully swayed any of them to her side."

Prior to this, Andy gave an update on Monica's status on the reality TV series on "Watch What Happens Live". He revealed in the Tuesday, January 23 episode of the talk show "that Monica is going to be taking a break from the show."

Of the possibility of her return, Andy told Variety, "Anything can happen. And I love a comeback. And so it would be very cool to find a path forward for her." He, however, noted, "it feels too raw right now."

Andy's comment came after Heather Gay exposed Monica's participation in Instagram account Reality Von (Tea)se, which shared negative comments about the cast members, to her and fellow Housewives Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose and Angie Katsanevas in season 4 finale.

In her defense, Monica claimed that she wasn't the only one posting to the account. She also insisted that her intention was to to expose former cast member Jen Shah, but other ladies accused Monica of targeting all of them.
