The Olympic swimmer, who already shares 7-year-old Boomer, 5-year-old Beckett and 4-year-old Maverick with his model wife, announces their son's arrival by posting a picture of the two holding the infant.

AceShowbiz - Michael Phelps has become a father yet again. When announcing the birth of his and wife Nicole Johnson's baby No. 4, the Olympic swimmer said he feels so "blessed" to have welcomed a new addition to their family.

Making use of Instagram on Monday, January 22, the 38-year-old shared a picture of him and his wife holding their newborn son. He captioned the snap by writing, "@mrs.nicolephelps and I wanna welcome Nico Michael Phelps to the world. Born on 1/16. "We're so blessed to be given a 4th child. We're now a family of 6!"

Nicole confirmed her pregnancy when celebrating her and Michael's anniversary. On October 30, 2023, the model shared photos of the two throughout the years. The first snap showed the pair posing at a recent NFL game as the pregnant mom debuted her baby bump in a Baltimore Ravens jersey.

Nicole captioned the post by writing, "A memory from Oct 29 over the last 7 years with you @m_phelps00 (I couldn't find 2019s pic ) Happy Anniversary to my best friend, hubby and partner thru life I couldn't have asked for anyone better!" She added, "For those that are wondering… yes! we're expecting our 4th Phelps in 2024."

Michael and Nicole tied the knot in 2016 after dating on and off for years. The couple share three sons together, 7-year-old Boomer, 5-year-old Beckett and 4-year-old Maverick.

Back in 2021, the pair opened up about parenthood in an interview with PEOPLE. The parents said they're determined to help their kids "talk about their emotions, with the athlete adding, "It gives me a lot of hope. I just want them to be as prepared as they can be."

"We don't hide from emotions," his spouse added. "We teach them that daddy or mommy is having a moment and we need to either give them space or ask if they want a hug. And that's taught them they have permission for their feelings to be heard too."
