AceShowbiz - Meghan McCain has reacted to Susan Sarandon's apology for the actress' anti-Jewish rant. Upon learning that Susan has issued a public apology, the former host of "The View" called out the "Dead Man Walking" actress via social media.

On Saturday, December 2, the 39-year-old TV personality made use of X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice her thoughts on Susan apologizing for her controversial remark. In a tweet, Meghann penned, "Susan Sarandon is a classic example of the horse shoe theory - where woke progressives try and outwoke each other to the point that they are in fact just actually exposing themselves to be racist bigots. Like the tiki torch lunatics - they are all poison, presented differently."

Meghan's statement came shortly after Susan revealed that she "deeply" regretted making the controversial remark about Jews. On Friday, December 1, she issued a statement via Instagram that read, "This phrasing was a terrible mistake, as it implies that until recently Jews have been strangers to persecution, when the opposite is true."

"As we all know, from centuries of oppression and genocide in Europe, to the Tree of Life shooting in Pittsburgh, PA, Jews have long been familiar with discrimination and religious violence, which continues to this day," she continued. "I deeply regret diminishing this reality and hurting people with this comment. It was my intent to show solidarity in the struggle against bigotry of all kinds, and I am sorry I failed to do so."

Near the end of the statement, Susan stated, "I will continue my commitment to peace, truth, justice, and compassion for all people. I hope that we can meet with love and willingness to engage in dialogue, especially with those with whom we disagree."

Meghan McCain slammed Susan Sarandon over the actress' apology for her controversial remark on Jews.

Previously, Susan got candid with her thoughts on Jews living in the U.S. when she was joining a pro-Palestine rally. During the November 17 protest in New York City, she stated, "There are a lot of people that are afraid, that are afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence."

In the wake of the statement, Susan was met with criticisms and dumped by a Hollywood talent agency. On November 21, it was confirmed by a spokesperson for UTA that the talent agency, who has a Jewish CEO named Jeremy Zimmer, does not represent her any longer. She reportedly "extremely hurt" some "staffers at UTA" with her comments on "frightened Jews."
