AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton has reminded social media users of her longtime friendship with Britney Spears. The former star of "The Simple Life", who has been friends with Britney for more than one decade, shared a series of throwback pictures of her and the "...Baby One More Time" hitmaker.
On Sunday, November 19, the 42-year-old socialite made use of her Instagram page to upload the photos capturing her and the 41-year-old singer. In some of the snaps, they appeared in good spirits as they flashed their megawatt smiles. They also looked in sync in their navy blue headbands that came with rabbit ears on top of their heads in one of the photos.
In the meantime, Paris and Britney could be seen pouting their lips as they struck a pose in another picture. While Paris was wearing a sleeveless dark gray top and silver chain necklace, Britney was sporting a long-sleeved white button-up shirt. They looked fresh with their makeup, including glossy pink lipstick. In addition, their long blonde hair was let loose and styled into a simple straight hairdo.
Along with the photos, the "Paris in Love" star wrote in the caption of the post, "17 years ago, Britney and I created the selfie!" She went on to write, "Tag me in your most epic selfies to celebrate the most iconic invention," adding a slew of emojis, including a flame emoji.
Paris and Britney have been friends for nearly twenty years. Previously, the "Gimme More" singer gave an insight into her friendship with Paris in her memoir titled "The Woman In Me", which was released in October. In it, she revealed that the reality TV star was "kindest to me when I really needed kindness" during her difficult time.
"So much of America dismissed her as a party girl, but I found her elegant - the way she posed on the red carpet and always had an arched eyebrow when anyone was mean about her," Britney went on to say about Paris. "She saw that I had babies and that I was suffering from the breakup, and I think she felt sorry for me. She came over to my house, and she helped me out so much. She was just so sweet to me."
