Fans quickly flood the makeup artist and dancer's Instagram comments section with condolence messages upon learning of the devastating news of her passing.

AceShowbiz - Fans are mourning the death of "Extreme Weight Loss" star Brandi Mallory. The makeup artist and dancer died on Thursday, November 9 in Stone Mountain, Ga. She was 40.

A representative for the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Officer confirmed to PEOPLE the reality TV star's devastating passing, but didn't reveal her cause of death. According to a new report, the memorial service for Brandi will be held in Lithonia on November 19, while the funeral is scheduled the following day.

A fellow sorrority sister additionally announced Brandi's death, posting on Facebook, "It is with great sadness that we inform our CAU Family that our linesister Brandi Mallory, 31-Σ-11, passed away yesterday. This was sudden and unexpected."

Calling the Clark Atlanta University alum "a bright light" who had a "beautiful smile" that lit up any room she entered," she went on saying, "She loved with her whole heart and embraced life's challenges head-on. Her talent as a make-up artist opened doors for her and made room for her to expand and grown. We will miss our linesister more than you will ever know. This is extremely difficult for us. Thank you for your prayers, calls, and texts. We will forever love Brandi and we remain Thee 35 Indestructible Inspirations Innovating Delta."

Upon learning of the news, fans flooded Brandi's Instagram comments section with condolence messages. "My gosh. She was a light on my feed can't begin to imagine her effect in person. Rest in Peace, Beautiful," one wrote.

"Oh nooo. God gained such a beautiful Angel! I remember meeting you and it was like we had known each other for a lifetime. Your energy, your vibe, your beauty, you love for people, etc. truly will be missed but at the same time, saved so many people. Rest easy love… kisskiss," another penned. "Rest in peace and paradise B! Heaven has earned a new Queen," someone added.

"My deepest sympathies!! I can't believe this!! She seem like such a Beautiful person!!! Rest in Peace Beautiful," one person said. Not being able to believe the heartbreaking news, another noted, "Oh wow I was hoping it wasn't true."

Brandi joined "Extreme Weight Loss" season 4 back in 2014. In an interview with local Atlanta journalist Kirby Carroll, Brandi explained that she decided to join the ABC series and lose weight after one of her sorority sisters died at the age of 29.

"I was literally waking up every day like... this may be my last day waking up, like, I don't know what's going to happen for me," she revealed. "When it's playing on your mind that I might need to do something about my weight, because I'm afraid I might die too, then you might need to pay attention to something like that."

Brandi also shared that she auditioned for "The Biggest Loser" but didn't make it to the show. The producers, however, sent her details to "Extreme Weight Loss". "Literally every footstep since then has been God. I prayed over that application before I sent it off; I prayed every step of the way," she added.
