The independently-released song arrives as the Grammy-winning artist's first official solo release since she parted ways with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment.

AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion's highly-anticipated new single is finally out. Titled "Cobra", the song arrived on Friday, November 3 alongside its music video that shows the Houston native crawling out of a gigantic snake's mouth.

"Just as a snake sheds his skin, we must shed our past, over and over again," the 28-year-old begins the track. She then raps while walking toward an aggressive cobra, "Breaking down and I had the whole world watching/ But the worst part is really who watch me/ Every night I cried/ I almost died and nobody close tried to stop me."

As the clip transitions, the Grammy-winning artist can be seen peeling off a layer of her skin in a huge glass box. Toward the end of the video, the femcee dances along a guitar solo as she's joined by a group of backup dancers.

Megan first announced the track last month. Sharing a racy photo of her from the "Cobra" visuals, she penned, "COBRA NOVEMBER 3RD PRE-SAVE NOW!" adding a few snake emojis.

Ahead of the song's release, the raptress shared a message that read, "Cobras exemplify courage and self-reliance." It added, "They stand tall and fierce in the face of challenges, teaching one to tap into their inner strength and rely on oneself to conquer their treats. Emulating the cobra helps one be more confident in the person they are within."

"Cobra" marks Megan's first release as an independent artist following her split from 1501 Certified Entertainment. The song itself was released via Hot Girl Productions as she recently revealed that she is footing the bill herself for all of her upcoming projects.

"This part of my album is very much so funded by Megan Thee Stallion because we're trying to get off ... Y'all know what’s the tea. But I have no label right now," she said during an Instagram Live. "We're doing everything funded straight out of Megan Thee Stallion's pockets. So, the budget is coming from me. Motherf**king Hot Girl Productions! The next s**t y'all about to see is all straight from Megan Thee Stallion's brain and Megan Thee Stallion's wallet. We are in my pockets, hotties, so let's do our big one."

Megan and 1501 Certified Entertainment have since "mutually reached a confidential settlement to resolve their legal differences" after a three-year battle. 1501 said in a statement, "Both Megan and 1501 are pleased to put this matter behind them and move forward with the next chapter of their respective businesses." The label's president Carl Crawford added that he and his company "wish Megan the very best in her life and career."
