The '...Baby One More Time' songstress teases that her memoir, 'The Woman in Me', has a second volume in the works and she tells her online devotees to 'get ready' for it.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears has hinted that there will be a "volume 2" of her memoir. The "Toxic" hitmaker shared the announcement just a few days after releasing "The Woman in Me", but she quickly took it down.

The 41-year-old pop star made the since-deleted post on Saturday, October 29. According to Variety, the singer wrote in the caption, "Humor is the cure to everything !!! Play on !!! Volume 2 will be released next year … get ready!"

Britney has made media headlines with her revelations in "The Woman in Me". Among the shocking details that she spilled in the book was her alleged abortion during her relationship with ex Justin Timberlake. Aside from exposing the NSYNC star, she ripped her family especially her dad, Jamie Spears.

The "Gimme More" songstress, however, clarified her motive in writing her first tell-all. In a statement posted on her feed, she wrote, "My book's purpose was not to offend anyone by any means !!! That was me then … that is in the past !!! I don't like the headlines I am reading."

"That's exactly why I quit the business 4 years ago !!! Most of the book is from 20 years ago ... I have moved on and it's a beautiful clean slate from here !!!" the pop star continued. "I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life !!! Either way, that is the last of it and s**t happens !!!"

Defending her decision to tell her story, Britney went on to note, "This is actually a book I didn't know needed to be written … although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future !!!" She then stated, "Hopefully I can enlighten people who feel particularly alone in most cases or hurt or misunderstood !!!"

Before concluding her message, the Princess of Pop stressed, "Again, my motive for this book was not to harp on my past experiences which is what the press is doing and it's a dumb and silly !!" She emphasized, "! I have moved on since then !!! #TheWomanInMe."
