Kate Middleton's brother reveals the gender of his first child with wife Alizee and the name of the newborn baby after confirming the arrival of the bundle of joy.

AceShowbiz - James Middleton and his wife Alizee have had a baby boy. The 36-year-old entrepreneur - who is the younger brother of Catherine, Princess of Wales - has been wed to financial expert Alizee, 32, since 2022 and in a post to Instagram on Friday, October 27, he revealed that they had welcomed a baby called Inigo a "few weeks ago" but was unprepared for the "overwhelming emotion" of becoming a father for the first time.

"He has been in our lives for just a few weeks but they have been the most special of my life getting to know our beautiful baby boy [blue heart emoji]. No matter how prepared I thought I was…I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotion of meeting Inigo for the first time and the love for my darling Alizee as we became three," he wrote on Instagram.

James has often spoken out about his love for dogs and he and his wife currently have a pooch called Mable but earlier this year, he lost his beloved canine companion Ella at the age of 15 and has already made sure that the newborn knows about his old friend.

He added, "We have settled into our new life as parents and I've told him all about Ella and that if it wasn't for her he wouldn't be here today and that we miss her greatly. The dogs have been fantastic at welcoming their little brother into the pack (although Inka needs to know the teddybears are not all for her…) [paw print emoji]."

Following the birth of the little one - who is the first cousin of Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte as well as the nephew of the Prince and Princess of Wales - James also made sure to thank the NHS and the "wonderful team" at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital for their care throughout the whole journey.

He added, "We would like to thank the wonderful team at Basingstoke hospital, from the very first scan to walking out the front door for the first time as three, we couldn't have felt more supported and looked after throughout so thank you NHS."
