AceShowbiz - Malia Obama has a new look to match the fall season. The daughter of former president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama has debuted a major hair transformation after ditching her brown waist-length braids.

The former First Daughter showed off her shorter do while out and about in Los Angeles earlier this week. In pictures obtained by Daily Mail, the 25-year-old sported sleek red waves which fell just above the middle of her back as she left a movie theater with one of her close pals on Tuesday, October 24.

The screenwriter looked chic in a tan pinstriped trousers and a gray scoop-neck tank layered under a cozy denim cardigan. She accessorized with a slouchy oversized hobo bag and chunky-soled black boots.

The eldest daughter of the Obamas appeared to go makeup free and show off her natural beauty during the outing. She appeared in good spirits as she was seen chatting and laughing with her friend, who also happened to be rocking fiery locks, after watching a film together.

The pair giggled with each other before sharing an embrace. After their hug, Malia headed back to her car alone, where she was pictured laying her head on the steering wheel before taking off.

As Malia had a hair makeover, her sister Sasha Obama recently hinted at a major change in her own life. The youngest daughter of Barack Obama was photographed buying a stack of moving boxes. She was seen lugging the boxes out of a local UPS store on Monday.

Sasha has been sharing an apartment in Los Angeles with Malia since she transferred from the University of Michigan to the University of Southern California to finish college last year. It's unclear, however, if the 22-year-old will be relocating to another city, getting her own place in the same city or moving to a new apartment with her sister.
