AceShowbiz - Sam Neill has doubled down on his remark about not being afraid of death. In fact, the "Jurassic Park" actor declared in a new interview that he's more afraid of retirement amid his battle with stage 3 blood cancer.

When speaking to the Australian Story, the 76-year-old told the outlet that the idea of him retiring "fills me with horror." His doctors also warned him that one day the drug will eventually stop working, and he's "prepared for that."

Sam has now been in remission for 12 months after switching treatment to a rare anti-cancer drug that worked. The New Zealand native has to take the medicine every two weeks indefinitely in order to remain healthy, he said, noting that the few days after the treatments are “very grim and depressing."

This is not the first time Sam talked about death. When speaking to The Guardian back in March, he said, "I'm not afraid to die, but it would annoy me. Because I'd really like another decade or two, you know?"

"We've built all these lovely terraces, we've got these olive trees and cypresses, and I want to be around to see it all mature," he added. "And I've got my lovely little grandchildren. I want to see them get big. But as for the dying? I couldn't care less."
