AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for Whitney Cummings. The "2 Broke Girls" actress has announced that she is pregnant with her first child and revealed that she is set to welcome the baby in December.
On Tuesday, June 20, the 40-year-old comedian surprised many with the exciting news through an Instagram post. She captioned the post, "In these pix I am with child. And there's a baby in me too. Human pup coming December. All your dates in 2023 still happening I just may fall over a couple times." She was making a reference to the dates of her stand-up performances.
Seemingly addressing possible questions from her fans about her upcoming stand-up comedy shows in California, the "Good Mourning" actress additionally wrote in the comments section of her post, "Brea, ca shows this weekend are ON!" She went on to hilariously say, "I'm just pregnant not dying."
In her June 20 post, Whitney let out a series of photos capturing herself and her dog. In the snaps, she could be seen playing catch with her pet in a pool. Smiling from ear to ear, she put her baby bump on full display as she donned only a sleeveless purple bra top and a pair of short light gray sweatpants. Another photo in her carousel post showed the sonogram picture of her unborn baby.
The "Whitney" star followed up her Instagram feed post by uploading the sonogram photo on her Story. Over the snap, she noted, "My baby is already holding a microphone? LORT." She additionally wrote, "See you this weekend for shows Brea, CA."
A few months prior, Whitney unveiled that she had frozen her eggs. During a February chat with hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Willie Geist on "Today" show, the comedienne was told by Jenna, "It feels like you need to be a mom. Are you thinking about it?"
In response, Whitney stated, "Okay so look, here's the thing. I have all the time in the world to have biological children, so there's no rush. But I did freeze my eggs." She offered more details by saying, "They have a beautiful beachfront in Redondo, California. They're on better real estate than me."
"I do want to get them out before the sea level rises and they flood, but I was going to try this year to get pregnant," she continued sharing. "So, any takers? Any husbands in New York? There's no husbands in L.A. Everyones on fentanyl and mushrooms, I can't."
