The 'In the Name of Love' singer, who has been dealing with her body image issues for years, also encourages people to stop making weight gain such a big deal in an interview.

AceShowbiz - Bebe Rexha has no time for any negativity. Although she admitted that it was "tough" for her to have gained 30 pounds after PCOS diagnosis, the "In the Name of Love" singer said she decided to be "positive" instead.

The 33-year-old got candid about her weight gain when appearing in the Thursday, May 25 episode of "The Jennifer Hudson Show". She said, "I went to the doctor last year - and a lot of women actually have this and they don't know about it - but they diagnosed [me] with PCOS, which is polycystic ovary syndrome."

Noting that PCOS is "one of the leading causes of why women gain weight and are obese," Bebe added, "I literally jumped, like, 30 pounds so quickly, maybe a little bit more." She then noted, "But we gotta just be positive and just show people love."

Bebe, who has been dealing with her body image issues for years, acknowledged that facing criticism is just part of being famous. Still, she wants people to stop making weight gain such a big deal.

"I was a lot thinner and I did gain some weight — that comes with the territory. I'm not mad about it because it is true, but when you see things like that, it does mess with you," she shared. "You don't know what somebody's going through, what they're going through in their life, so it kind of is tough. But I feel like we're in 2023 … we should not be talking about people's weight."

While Bebe seems to have accepted her body weight now, she once admitted that she was "embarrassed" with it. "So, it is the holidays, and I know we're all supposed to be merry and like, 'Yay, it's the holidays!,' which I am... ish," she said in a video posted in December 2021. "I think I am the heaviest I have ever been."

"I weighed myself just now and I don't feel comfortable sharing the weight 'cause I feel embarrassed," Bebe added. She then broke down in tears and elaborated, "It's not just about that. I just feel disgusting, you know, like in my own body."
