AceShowbiz - Jeff Bezos has resumed construction on his love nest. After he was reported to have gotten engaged to Lauren Sanchez in mid-May, the Amazon founder was alleged to have been preparing a new $175M home for him and his Emmy Award-winning journalist girlfriend.
On Thursday, May 25, the 59-year-old magnate was reported by the DailyMail to have kicked start the construction of his Beverly Hills, California home once again. A number of photos obtained by the outlet showed that men were back at work in the lavish mansion.
Jeff bought his 10-acre house, which was previously owned by Warner Bros. President Jack Warner, in 2020. His property originally features a main house, a guest house, a gym, a pavilion and a guard house for security.
The American entrepreneur was said to be adding a new "game court fence with lighting," a new pool house, powder room as well as retaining walls once his application was accepted. The expansion, however, was put to a stop in April.
Days before activities were spotted at his mansion, Jeff made news headlines over claims of his engagement to Lauren. Reports have come out that he had popped the question in private after he and his partner arrived in either Ibiza or Mallorca to enjoy their Spain getaway.
About Jeff and Lauren's Spain vacation, a source told PEOPLE, "They have been in a great mood and are obviously enjoying their trip. When they first arrived in Spain, Lauren especially seemed giddy with excitement as they toured the yacht."
"Lauren keeps enjoying the tanning deck. They stopped for lunch in Ibiza mid-week before continuing on to France, where they spent the weekend," the source added, before revealing further that the perfect pair "are usually hand-in-hand" and "look very happy."
"Her engagement ring is beyond stunning. And huge! She keeps playing with it and looking at it. You can tell she loves it. He proposed last week. They're on cloud nine - so happy and madly in love," the source additionally shared.
