The 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' actor announces an all-new music guessing game show that he will co-host with daughter Corinne Foxx while continuing to receive treatment at a rehab center in Chicago.

AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx is recovering in a physical rehab center following his serious health scare last month in Atlanta. The actor has reportedly entered a facility in Chicago which is touted as the top physical medicine and rehabilitation center in the country.

According to TMZ which spills the news, the facility specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab and cancer rehabilitation. A source tells the site that the Oscar winner arrived at the facility in late April, after initially getting treatment in an Atlanta hospital, and he's "recovering well."

Jamie apparently continues to receive support from his family during his recovery. Over the weekend, his daughters Corinne Foxx and Anelise, as well as Anelise's mother Kristin Grannis, were all seen in Chicago to spend time with the 55-year-old star during his continued care. Kristin apparently received some Mother's Day gifts from her loved ones during her visit to the hospital as she left with flowers and a balloon.

Anelise brought a guitar with her, so she could be playing it and singing for her father. Corinne also appeared to be in good spirits, smiling as she was joined by her boyfriend on at least one of the visits.

While the cause of Jamie's hospitalization remains a mystery, Corinne previously shut down report saying that his family was preparing for "the worst." In an Instagram Story, she wrote, "Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating."

She added, "In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!"

True to her words, on Monday, May 15, a new TV show to be hosted by Jamie and Corinne was announced by FOX. The network has ordered "We Are Family", an all-new music centric game show, to series.

According to a press release, "showcasing non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their hidden famous family member, 'We Are Family' will feature a studio audience entirely comprised of 100 contestants playing through multiple rounds of clues and gameplay to win up to $100,000 each by correctly guessing which celebrity the performer is related to before they are revealed."

"We are thrilled to be developing 'We Are Family' with Jeff Apploff and our friends at FOX Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of 'Beat Shazam'," the father-daughter duo said in a statement. "We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we've had creating it when it premieres next year."

The new show is scheduled to premiere in 2024.
