AceShowbiz - The 2023 British Academy Television Awards announced its full winners on Sunday evening, May 14. Among the big winners at the ceremony, which took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London, were Kate Winslet, Ben Whishaw and Netflix's hit series "DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story".

Kate was named as the winner of Leading Actress category, thanks to her performance as the titular character on "I Am Ruth". She triumphantly bested Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie Too"), Imelda Staunton ("The Crown"), Maxine Peake ("Anne"), Sarah Lancashire ("Julia") and Vicky Mcclure ("Without Sin").

The trophy for Leading Actor, meanwhile, went to "This Is Going to Hurt" star Ben. He won over fellow nominees including Chasker Spencer ("The English"), Cillian Murphy ("Peaky Blinders"), Gary Oldman ("Slow Horses"), Martin Freeman ("The Responder") and Taron Egerton ("Black Bird").

"I Am Ruth" nabbed its second prize after winning the Single Drama award. On the other hand, Ryan Murphy's "DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" was given the International award. Starring Evan Peters as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, the controversial series beat "The Bear", "Wednesday", "Pachinko", "The White Lotus" and "Oussekine".

The BBC's coverage of the Platinum Jubilee also won a BAFTA for best live event. Meanwhile, athlete Mo Farah's shocking documentary "The Real Mo Farah", which revealed he'd been smuggled to the U.K. as a child, won best documentary at this year's BAFTA Awards. Also among the honorees was BBC game show "The Traitors" which won two awards, one in the best reality and constructed factual category and best entertainment performance for its host Claudia Winkleman.
