Stepping out to support pal Michael J. Fox's new documentary, the 'When Harry Met Sally...' star sparks allegations that she may have had cosmetic surgeries.

AceShowbiz - Meg Ryan has just stepped out in public for the first time in six months, but she was barely recognizable. The actress has sparked chatter about her looks after she made a rare public appearance in New York on Thursday, May 4 in support of pal Michael J. Fox at a screening of his new documentary "STILL".
In several pictures from the event, the "Sleepless in Seattle" star is seen posing with Michael, his wife Tracy Pollan, daughter Schulyer Fox and some other guests, such as Ali Wentworth. She wore brown plaid pants, a red blouse and a black trench coat, teamed with a pair of black boots, but many got distracted by her different appearance.
Some of the critics speculated that the 61-year-old may have recently gone under the knife to get works done on her face. "Wtf has Meg Ryan done to her face?!" asked one concerned fan. A shocked Twitter user exclaimed, "This is Meg Ryan Now? WTF Happened? Christ......."
"Is that really Meg Ryan, if so that's such a shame and incredibly sad tbh," a third critic said. A fourth user weighed in, "Lay off the filler!!!" while some others compared Meg to Madonna. "Her and Madonna obviously have the same plastic surgeon," one of them declared. Another added, "Meg Ryan and Madonna should team up for a horror flick."
Others, however, have defended Meg, believing that her different appearance is inevitable due to aging. "Meg Ryan looks exactly as different as you would expect a 61-year-old to look," someone chimed in. Another hit back at the naysayers, "Everyone ages. Please stop this."
"So she doesn't look like she did 35 years ago. None of us do. Who cares and let her be," a third defender argued. Someone else chimed in, "She looks like Meg Ryan but a little older."
This isn't the first time Meg's face has become an object of scrutiny by critics. Over the years, the mom of two has sparked speculation that she may have done something to her face due to her changing appearances.
In 2015, she responded to the negative comments surrounding her looks, telling Porter magazine that she doesn't pay a lot of attention to the gossip. "There's a lot of hatred in the world today, it's so easy to judge," the "City of Angels" star said at the time.
"Imagine being a hater, how stupid!" she added. "My women friends are not sitting around talking about ... well, sometimes there are conversations like that, but the people I value talk about kids growing up, what kind of world they are going into, what we are eating, what we are breathing."
