AceShowbiz - Fernando Alonso continues to play with Taylor Swift dating rumors. While neither denying nor confirming if there's truth to the reports linking him to the pop superstar, the F1 driver has only added fuels to the speculation with a new TikTok video.
Over the weekend, the Spanish racing driver posted the video showing him lifting weights at a gym. At the end of the short clip, he knowingly winked at the camera, while Taylor's song "22" was softly playing in the background. "Im lifting 22's," he captioned it.
In the comments, many praised him for using "Taylor's Version" of the track. "And he's using taylor's version! What a good boyfriend," one fan jokingly wrote. Another enthused, "we appreciate nando using taylors version. we love a supportive king."
Some others noted that the athlete was "having way too much fun" with the rumors, while another person wrote, "didnt have taynando rumor in my 2023 bingo card." A fifth commenter quipped, "he knows what he is doing all too well."
Fernando has also addressed the dating rumors in an interview with Marca ahead of this weekend's race in Azerbaijan. When the outlet pointed out that "the Taylor Swift issue is being discussed these days," he coyly responded, "I usually keep my personal and professional life apart. I prefer not to comment on it."
Prior to this, Fernando also trolled fans when he broke his silence on the dating speculation in a TikTok video posted on April 24. In it, the 41-year-old only sat down on a chair while scrolling on his phone, before looking at the camera and winking.
"Race week era," the Aston Martin driver captioned it. The two-time world champion also referenced Taylor's song "22" when he wrote in the comment, "Feeling 33," with a smug face emoji.
The dating rumors started to swirl online after DeuxMoi posted a blind item from an informant who claimed, "A couple of Spanish magazines have been posting about TS and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso." The anonymous tipster added, "According to them, the couple has been seeing each other for a week now. Nothing serious tho since they are both recently single."
The email, however, was posted in the "deux are you looking for" segment, which is for "entertainment purposes only." The account owner noted that "some of the emails posted are complete BS."
Taylor has not responded to the dating rumors.
