The 'Kiss Me More' songstress literally dresses up as the late designer's feline Choupette, while the 'Morbius' star puts on a life-size cat costume at this year's fashion biggest event.

AceShowbiz - Doja Cat and Jared Leto literally turned into a cat for the 2023 Met Gala. The singer and the actor paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld's beloved pet Choupette in their own ways when attending the event on Monday night, May 1.

Doja went full feline as she dressed as a bedazzled cat on the red carpet. Her hooded Oscar de la Renta look featured a cat-ear silhouette and feathered train that was punctuated by cat eye, mouth and nose makeup.

The Grammy winner also wore a custom Messika diamond headpiece with a 17 carats pear shaped diamond and a custom-made arm piece with twp pear shaped diamonds of 2.5 and 4.5 carats of diamonds. Doja told ET's Rachel Smith that it took two hours to complete her transformation for the event.

Meanwhile, Jared was completely unrecognizable at first as he arrived in a full cat costume. It wasn't until he took off the giant cat head and revealed himself that everyone knew his identity. He also sported dark makeup underneath the cat head.

The Oscar winner made cute poses on his way to the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He was seen talking to Lizzo, who couldn't help stroking the furry costume, and shared an embrace with Anne Hathaway.

The 51-year-old actor later had a full outfit change when posing on the red carpet. He revealed a long black ensemble with a matching cape underneath the cat costume. The glam Gothic look was accented with diamond shoulder pads.

"I knew Karl. He was always such a kind man to me. I could just imagine him looking down with a big smile on his face, seeing Choupette in all his glory," Jared told ET's Rachel Smith about his motivation to dress as Choupette. "So it's a pleasure to be here to support this benefit."

This year's theme of the Met Gala is "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty". The exhibition, which opens to the public on May 5 and closes on July 16, features 150 of Karl's designs from Chanel, Balmain, Patou, Fendi, Chloe as well as his own personal line and are accompanied by his sketches.
