AceShowbiz - Monica was forced to pause her recent show, which was part of her "R&B Experience Tour". After noticing an altercation among fans, the "Angel of Mine" singer stopped her performance and warned them to stop fighting.

The incident took place when the 43-year-old was delivering a rendition of "Why I Love You So Much" at the Washington D.C. show. However, a brawl broke out in the crowd, prompting the musician to remind them that she wasn't performing Crime Mob's 2004 fight-starting record.

"I ain't singing 'Knuck If You Buck' baby, calm that s**t down," she told the rowdy concertgoers. She then offered to buy them drinks to stop the scuffle. Her effort, however, didn't seem to work.

Monica then suggested the s**t-starters continue the altercation outside. Once they exited the venue, she performed her fan-favorite song "So Gone".

Monica hit the road again a few months after she underwent surgery to treat her sinus problem. On January 15, she posted a video of herself during her hospitalization.

In the caption, the R&B star wrote, "Life will often times take you places you didn't plan to go. Just remember God wont take you to & not bring you through." She added, "thank you Dr. Phillip Rob , @sebisdaughtersllc My nurse & My Babies @thuglifemmb stayed by my side & @loeshimmy made me smile through the pain while @cyndiibee_ held my hand. Thank you to all the nurses at Northside! They were all incredible."
