Emma reportedly submitted the divorce paper on Tuesday, February 21. According to the legal docs obtained by PEOPLE, she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
Despite divorcing, it was said there is no bad blood between the exes. "Emma and Sasha still remain close," a source close to the former couple told the outlet. "There's no bad blood between them."
Emma and Sasha called it quits after four years of marriage. Speaking about their breakup, a source told Us Weekly in August 2022, "They've been apart for many months now." The source went on to note, "They both have not been wearing their wedding rings and are each leading a single life."
Though it was such a "tough decision" for them, Emma and Sasha were reportedly "figuring out" what life apart looks like. The insider elaborated, "It's been a difficult time since they really care about each other and have been together for so long."
Emma and Sasha sparked split rumors in early 2022 as they had deleted photos of each other from their respective Instagram accounts. Emma fueled the speculations after attending Brandon Armstrong's wedding in Italy with her parents without Sasha.
Emma and Sasha were dating for years before they met as competitors in season 17 of "Dancing with the Stars", in which Emma was partnered with Bill Engvall and Sasha was partnered with Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, back in 2013. They split in 2014 but rekindled their romance the following year.
