AceShowbiz - "All Quiet on the Western Front" has come out victorious at the 2023 BAFTA Awards. The German-language World War I drama led the winner list with seven record-breaking awards during the ceremony, which took place at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, February 19.
The accolades included Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Film Not in the English Language. The movie also nabbed the Best Original Score for Volker Bertelmann, Cinematography for James Friend and Sound.
Trailing behind was "The Banshees of Inisherin" with four gongs, clinching both the Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress awards for Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon respectively. "Elvis" also bagged four trophies with Austin Butler winning Leading Actor. Cate Blanchett, meanwhile, won Leading Actress for "Tar".
