The Duchess of Sussex wrote the blog post in 2014 despite claiming in an interview following her engagement to Prince Harry that she 'didn't know much' about her fiance and his family before she met him.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle had apparently been interested in the royal British family years before she met Prince Harry. On Wednesday, February 15, a blog post, in which Meghan discussed Kate Middleton's wedding and the chatter surrounding the royal, from her now-shuttered lifestyle website resurfaced online.
In the 2014 blog post, Meghan shared her take on princesses and royal weddings. According to Daily Mail, the former "Suits" actress insinuated that she was tired of hearing the "endless conversation" about the royal wedding, which took place on April 29, 2011.
Meghan additionally revealed that she dreamt of being a "royal rebel" than "a Cinderella" as a child. The Duchess of Sussex shared that unlike most little girls who "dream of being princesses," she wanted to be "She-Ra, Princess of Power."
She allegedly elaborated, "For those of you unfamiliar with the '80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength. We're definitely not talking about Cinderella here."
She continued, "Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate."
The blog post was contradictory to Meghan's claims back in 2017. In an interview following her engagement to Prince Harry, she said that she "didn't know much" about her fiance and his family before she met him.
That aside, Meghan opened up about her time running the blog, which she called The Tig, on his and husband Harry's Netlix docuseries "Harry & Meghan". "I've never really been the type of person to do only one thing," she explained. "I guess that's how my website was born...There was fashion. There was tons of food and travel. It was all the things I loved. And The Tig wasn't just a hobby, it became a really successful business."
"I was writing op-eds about your self worth. And about being biracial and about volunteer work. When I would do 'Suits', I would in hiatus go to India. Go to Rwanda and do cause-driven work," she continued. "That's what I was excited about. I wasn't trying to find, like the great indie film that's gonna get me an Oscar. No. I just wanted to go and volunteer."
