The 'In Da Club' rapper expresses his frustration after the Recording Academy did not include Spanish subtitles for the 'Un Verano Sin Ti' artist's performance and acceptance speech.

AceShowbiz - 50 Cent has one major criticism of this year's Grammy Awards. The "In Da Club" rapper has called out the Recording Academy for not including Spanish subtitles for Bad Bunny's performance.

On Thursday, February 9, the "Power" co-creator turned to his Instagram account to slam the awards show. He posted a screenshot of Bad Bunny performing with the closed captions reading, "SPEAKING NON-ENGLISH" and "SINGING IN NON-ENGLISH."

"The Grammys need to be check about this, F**king @badbunnypr bigger than everybody right now and you can't pay for closed caption," Fiddy fumed in the caption. "Wtf is this speaking Non-English," he added, before urging the Grammys to "FIX IT !"

In a second Instagram post, 50 Cent shared a photo of Bad Bunny accepting Best Musica Urbana Album award for "Un Verano Sin Ti". During his speech, he spoke in Spanish, which again wasn't translated for the audience. "WTF going on here, I DONT WANT TO HEAR S**T FIX IT!" he captioned the post.

Many agreed in the comments section, with one person writing, "Facts. Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language here, GET IT TOGETHERRRR." Another person added, "THANK YOU! Someone else than a Latino standing up for our language and culture," with someone else commenting, "Thank you for repping for us. And holding us down Fif. You've always been a real one. Boricuas love you!"

During the awards show on Sunday, February 5 and the days that followed many people expressed their frustration over the closed captioning. "Seeing [SPEAKING IN NON-ENGLISH] in closed captions in 2023 is a great reminder that a lot of us can't separate our accessibility from our culture, which is why those conversations need to be inclusive as all hell," pro gymnast Shannon Miller tweeted.

"66,000,000 of us speak Spanish here in the great US of A. USA is the second largest Spanish speaking country worldwide second to Mexico. Non-English. Get out," added Voto Latino CEO Maria Teresa Kumar. Someone else chimed in, "Ok #Grammys inviting Bad Bunny and not getting a bilingual CC transcriber that just typed SPEAKING/SINGING NON-ENGLISH."
