The rock band, which is fronted by Hayley Williams, eyes a high debut on Billboard's Hot 200 with their upcoming album 'This Is Why' following the successful chart performances of its title track.

AceShowbiz - Paramore have reached another milestone in their career. After releasing their comeback single "This Is Why" in September 2022, the rock band finally saw their name on the pinnacle of the Billboard rock radio charts.
The track, which serves as the lead single of Paramore's upcoming album under the same name, also jumped to the top of the Alternative Airplay list dated February 4, 2023. Meanwhile, on the Adult Alternative Airplay, the tune currently stays at No. 11, falling down two ranks since January.
Elsewhere, "This Is Why" rose from No. 5 to No. 4 with 3.6 million audience impressions on the audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, according to Luminate. It previously peaked at No. 3 in early January. On the multi-metric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, the song landed at No. 15.
"This Is Why" marks Paramore's first release since 2017. Offering more details about the song, the band's vocalist Hayley Williams shared in a statement, " 'This Is Why' was the very last song we wrote for the album. To be honest, I was so tired of writing lyrics but Taylor convinced Zac and I both that we should work on this last idea. What came out of it was the title track for the whole album."
"It summarizes the plethora of ridiculous emotions, the rollercoaster of being alive in 2022, having survived even just the last three or four years," the singer added. "You'd think after a global pandemic of fucking biblical proportions and the impending doom of a dying planet, that humans would have found it deep within themselves to be kinder or more empathetic or something."
Two months after dropping "This Is Why", Paramore unleashed another single called "The News". Both tracks will appear on their new album, which will arrive on February 10.
