AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez embraced her flaws in her new Instagram post. Having used to deal with social media trolls who body shamed her, the actress/singer showed off her natural hair in new makeup-free selfies.
Taking to her Instagram account, the 30-year-old shared on Wednesday, February 1 several pictures of her rocking her natural wavy hair. In two of the snaps, the "Only Murders in the Building" star didn't even bother to cover her blemish above her lip.
The former Disney darling sported a blue long-sleeve T-shirt while sitting on what looks like a couch. In the third image, she wore a black outfit while resting her head on her hand. It seems that she was posing on the ledge of a window on a rainy day. She simply captioned the photos with, "Me."
Selena has since received praises for getting honest in the unfiltered images. Her friend Nicola Peltz gushed in the comments section, "most beautiful ever," while "The White Lotus" star Aubrey Plaza left a lovestruck emoji.
Jurnee Smollett called Selena a "Beauty," while health vlogger Whitney Simmons gushed, "love you perfect sweet angel bby." Someone else wrote, "SO BEAUTIFUL Just the way you are!"
Last month, Selena clapped back at trolls who body-shamed her following her appearance at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. "I'm a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays," she said in an Instagram Live video while talking to her nine-year-old sister Gracie Elliott Teefey. Gracie appeared to agree when Selena turned to her sibling and asked, "Right?" before the actress went on laughing, "But we don't care."
In other news, Selena has been reported to be in a relationship with Andrew Taggart a.k.a. Drew Taggart. They were spotted on a bowling date at The Gutter in New York City on January 15, during which they were reportedly "making out" like teenagers.
Seemingly denying the romance speculation, Selena later declared that she's single on her Instagram Story. She posted a black-and-white image of the sky and a lonely hill, and wrote over it, "I like being alone too much." She added, "#iamsingle."
Selena and Drew, however, only further fueled the romance speculation as they were caught holding hands during a dinner date a few days later. The alleged couple stepped out to Torrisi Bar & Restaurant in Soho, New York City on January 21 together.
