AceShowbiz - Gia Giudice has stepped further into adulthood. The eldest daughter of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice and ex-husband Joe Giudice has landed an immigration law job, 3 years after Joe was deported to Italy.
The 22-year-old announced her new job in an Instagram post on Tuesday, January 31. In the post, the "RHONJ" star revealed that she'll be working for attorney Kathleen Martinez, an immigration lawyer offering services in all 50 states, after she graduates from Rutgers University this spring.
Referencing Elle Woods' famous quote from "Legally Blonde", Gia and Kathleen wrote in the joint post, "What? Like it's hard? We are so excited to welcome @_giagiudice to the firm!! Welcome to @attorneymartinez / Martinez Immigration firm, Gia!"
In a comment, Kathleen clarified that Gia "will be interning for us." She went on to gush over the reality TV star, "She wants to help immigrants more than people realize. Her heart is so big for that."
Showing support for Gia was her stepfather Luis "Louie" Ruelas who wrote in the comment, "Congratulations!! You look amazing! Super proud of you!" Some fans were also happy for her with one saying, "Immigration law is perfect for her. I know her dad messed up, but he lived in America since 5."
"Gia really is moving up in life! Everyone around her should be proud of her accomplishments. She's truly a star," one other praised Gia. "Smart and gorgeous! You go girl! Congratulations!" another comment read.
Prior to this, Gia talked about her future plans in an interview for BravoTV.com. "I'm in my final year at Rutgers University, and after I graduate, I am pursuing my dream of going to law school," she shared. She added that she hopes to become a "very successful lawyer" with a "lucrative clothing business on the side."
Gia first revealed her desire to pursue a career in immigration law after seeing what happened to her dad, who was deported to his native Italy after serving 41 months in prison for fraud. He also spent time in an ICE detention center before going to Italy.
"Their whole experience influenced me, honestly, for the better," she said on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" back in May 2021. "I just want to help families and be able to be there for families and help children, honestly, especially."
