AceShowbiz - Metro Boomin gained momentum with his new album "Heroes & Villains". Less than a week after releasing the highly-anticipated project, the record producer saw his name at the summit of the Billboard 200 albums chart, marking third No.1 on the list.
The star-studded album stole the No. 1 spot on the chart after earning 185,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending December 8, according to Luminate. It also topped US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and landed at No. 3 on the UK album chart.
"Heroes & Villains" features 15 songs in total and guest appearances from big names like John Legend, Future, Chris Brown, Don Toliver, Travis Scott (II), 21 Savage, Young Thug, The Weeknd, Young Nudy as well as Mustafa the Poet. A$AP Rocky, Takeoff and Gunna are also featured in the album.
One of its tracks, "Creepin' "ft. The Weeknd and 21 Savage, debuted at No. 3 on the Global 200's with 59.4 million. Meanwhile, "Superhero (Heroes & Villains)" ft. Future and CB reached No. 8 on the list with 44 million global streams.
The two tracks also entered the Hot 100's top 10, with the former starting at No. 5 and the latter debuting at No. 8. The tracks also started at Nos. 4 and 6 on Streaming Songs with 30.8 million and 27.4 million streams, respectively.
"Heroes & Villains", which follows Metro's debut solo album, "Not All Heroes Wear Capes", arrived on December 2. To celebrate the release, he treated fans to a music video for "Superhero".
The visuals begins with Metro and Future carrying out a diamond heist before they blow up in an explosion. As the clip transitions, the former can be seen surfing through the sky. The rest of the footage shows the pair hanging out together as Future delivers his bars.
