AceShowbiz - Critics are wondering whether Cardi B is lying about her $1 million deal. The "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker has been dragged online for allegedly posting fake receipts after she claimed that she made $1 million in 30 minutes.

Earlier this month, Cardi claimed that she got $1 million for a performance at the Art Basel festivities in Miami and even shared the receipt from WP Touring, Inc. "I got payed 1 million dollars to perform at this elite bankers event private event for 400 people and only for 35 minutes," the wife of Offset boasted in the since-deleted tweet. "THINK ABOUT THAT WHEN YOU TYPE ABOUT THIS GRAMMY WINNER [a gold cup emoji]."

Some Internet sleuths then found out that there were "multiple performances/appearances in the agreement spanning from 11/23/22 to 12/3/22," meaning that the New York raptress might have made $1 million not only in one performance. They also pointed out the different spellings of the word "Basel" and "Basil" on the receipt.

One person wrote, "So after she was getting dragged online for her Chase performance she 'clapped back' by posting the top of her performance agreement saying the 'Made 1 Mill to perform for 35 minutes.' However, I peeped at the top of the agreement that there is a date range. Signifying that there were multiple performances/appearances in this agreement spanning from 11/23/22 to 12/3/22."

Another opined, "She lied about the 1M check just like [Nicki Minaj] lied to that judge and said her husband was a 'good man' this weekend when he's a admitted rapist and murderer." A third, meanwhile, joked, "Cardi, make sure you pay your taxes cuz the feds are watching."

Cardi's claim about her $1 million performance apparently was a response to a critic's insulting tweet. In the said post, the troll wrote alongside a video of the femcee's gig, "Not the Grammy winner performing in someone's backyard."
