AceShowbiz - Patti LaBelle's recent concert at Milwaukee didn't go as expected. The "If Only You Knew" singer's show at the Riverside Theater was cut short due to a bomb threat and she was quickly escorted off stage.
In a video surfacing online, the 78-year-old could be seen speaking to her fans as she held a bouquet of flowers. Two men then rushed to the stage and one of them grabbed the mic stand from the Grammy-winning artist.
"Hold up. Wait!" Patti yelled before another man in black came and snatched her free arm. As members of the band left the stage as well, the audience was left confused and one woman could be heard asking, "What happened?"
There was also a video taken outside the theater that saw patrons waiting on the street for an update on the situation. "We do not know if we can go back inside to the venue," the woman taking the video said. "It would be up to the Riverside Theater if we can go back inside but now everything's on halt."
Patti has yet to address the chaos. However, concert organizer Pabst Theater Group said in a statement, "Tonight's Patti LaBelle show at the Riverside Theater has been postponed following a bomb threat investigated by the Milwaukee Police Department."
"We are thankful for the efforts of the Milwaukee Police Department and our customers and staff for their safe and orderly exit," the message continued. "We are working with the artist to reschedule the show."
Following the incident, fans took to social media to show suppor to Patti. One Twitter user in particular wrote, "My love goes out to you Patti Labelle. You tried to make it such a loving and joyful holiday and someone had to ruin it for you #pattilabelle #Milwaukee #riversidetheatre #threat."
