AceShowbiz - Toni Collette seemingly tries to tell her fans about what she really feels after announcing her divorce from Dave Galafassi. The "Hereditary" star confirmed that she and her now-estranged husband are divorcing following photos of him kissing another woman emerged on the Internet.
On Friday, December 9, the 50-year-old actress turned to her Instagram page to share a photo of a building that has the words "LOVE IS THE ANSWER" written on the wall. Though she left her post captionless, fans rushed to the comments section to show some support. "You got this, Toni [black heart emoji]," one person wrote.
"Big hugs to you. Grant yourself a big dose of self-care. So many of us are part of your tribe," another commented, "We are here for you, we support you, and we want you to know that you will survive, and you'll emerge stronger than ever." Someone else reminded Toni that "love conquers everything !!"
A few hours earlier, the "Pieces of Her" star uploaded a dark and eerie painting of a lone tree in a field. The cryptic messages emerged following her shocking divorce from her longtime partner Dave, who was spotted kissing "integrative chiropractor" Shannon Egan at Manly Beach a few days prior to the divorce announcement.
In a joint statement posted on Toni's Instagram account, they said that their decision to legally end their 20-year marriage came "after a substantial period of separation." Despite going their separate ways, the former couple explained that their kids, 14-year-old daughter Sage Florence and 11-year-old son Arlo Robert, are "of paramount importance to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit a different shape."
Following the divorce announcement, it's unveiled that Dave, who refused to talk about his PDA-filled beach photos with Shannon, hid out at the now-estranged couple's $3 million home in Birchgrove, Sydney. However, on Friday morning, the 44-year-old drummer was seen out with his new lover. He's spotted without his wedding ring.
