Telling TMZ Hip Hop on Monday, November 14, Posty said, "I think that's pretty damn cool." He further expressed his joy, "I'm so honored and so happy and 17 times platinum is f**king insane and I wanted to say thank you to everybody who's listening and thank you for everything."
Elsewhere during the short interview, Posty thanked Sway Lee as he "did a lot of the writing and the heavy lifting on that song." He further gushed, "He's one of the most talented artists and most beautiful men in the world and I'm so honored to be able to have done a song with him."
Posty continued teasing his fans that he and Sway Lee "got some more on the way, some special stuff." When asked whether "Sunflower" is his favorite song, the 27-year-old star said, "I'd say so. It's so cool to see it impact so many people in so many different ways."
"Whenever you're happy it makes you a little happier. Whenever you're sad, it kind of brings you out of that mood. It's just a magical song," Posty elaborated more. "And I'm super honored that it's one of the biggest songs of all time. That's crazy, yeah, that's pretty awesome."
As for Sway Lee, he told the outlet, "Thanks to all the fans! You guys made history with us!" He continued, "And to Post and Miles Morales, glad the music could get the attention and love it deserves. So much more to come! SREMMLIFE!"
"Sunflower" was released as a single from the soundtrack to the 2018 hit film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", and was also included on Posty's third studio album "Hollywood's Bleeding".
"Sunflower" was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. A proper music video was never released for the catchy song. However, an in-studio video was put out which has close to 2 billion views on YouTube.
