Attorneys for the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' rapper filed court documents to dismiss the lawsuit on Thursday, November 3, noting that 'the statute of limitation for the alleged 2013 incident passed in 2015.'

AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg has issued his first legal response after his accuser revived a sexual assault lawsuit against him. In the court documents, the "Drop It Like It's Hot" rapper asked the court judge to dismiss the suit.
Snoop's legal team filed the documents on Thursday, November 3, noting that "the statute of limitation for the alleged 2013 incident passed in 2015." His attorneys also state that the plaintiff "does not have enough facts to support charges of conspiracy and trafficking," which were added when she refiled her lawsuit in July.
"The facts are simple," Snoop's spokesperson said in a statement sent to HipHopDX. "Plaintiff Jane Doe attempted to shakedown Calvin Broadus (aka Snoop Dogg) with a frivolous lawsuit [which] Ms. Doe filed four days before Snoop performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February. When Ms. Doe’s shakedown attempt failed, she voluntarily dismissed her allegations against Snoop, and the federal court dismissed her lawsuit in its entirety."
"Ms. Doe and her lawyer then refiled this past July the same meritless claims she, her lawyer, and the court previously dismissed, while simultaneously running to certain media to publicize the refiled litigation," it added. "As before, Ms. Doe's complaint is riddled with falsehoods and fails to allege anything meeting the definition of her flawed claims."
The woman, who goes by Jane Doe, first submitted the court documents to a Los Angeles federal court on February 9. She then dropped the lawsuit "without prejudice" in April. In the legal docs, she claimed the alleged incident took place back in 2013 after she watched the "Straight Outta Compton" actor's performance in Anaheim, California.
On July 22, it was unveiled that she refiled the complaint in a California district court. In the new filing, the woman claimed Snoop has used Instagram to "threaten, intimidate, and coerce Plaintiff into not exercising her constitutional rights to engage in a mediation." She also quotes a since-deleted post from the rapper, that read, "Gold digger season is here be careful Nefews keep ya guards up."
"Defendant Snoop Dogg's pattern and practice of threats, retaliation, harassment, and intimidation unsurprisingly did not stop there," Jane Doe's legal team wrote, adding that a spokesperson for the emcee revealed the woman's identity despite the fact that she had requested anonymity.
