Despite frenzied rumors and a report that the 'All Too Well' hitmaker is set to headline the one of world's biggest events next year, it's now revealed that she's not scheduled to perform.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift's fans are convinced she's going to be the next NFL's Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show performer, but a new report has unveiled that won't be performing at the event. If a new report is to be believed, the pop superstar was, in fact, asked to perform but she turned the offer down.

TMZ reported on Friday, September 23 that the "All Too Well" hitmaker was approached months ago by Super Bowl honchos, asking if she'd headline. Sources with direct knowledge then confirmed to the outlet that the 32-year-old singer/songstress didn't want to perform until she finished re-recording all of her first 6 albums.

Since 2021, Taylor has been releasing re-recorded versions of her earlier albums, "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and "Red (Taylor's Version)". The Grammy-winning pop star did this because this will allow her to own the songs' original recordings.

The majority of Taylor's work was released under a deal she signed with Big Machine Records when she was 15 years old. By signing the deal, she gave the record label ownership of her masters.

By 2019, Scooter Braun, who Taylor called a "bully," purchased Big Machine. Upon learning of the acquisition, Taylor was pissed, saying she was "sad and grossed out." She then "pleaded" with the label to let her buy her masters and was offered a deal where, if she re-signed with Big Machine, she could "earn one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in."

As for rumors of her headlining Super Bowl, it first started to circulate earlier this week with many highlighting the upcoming release of her new album "Midnights" and the NFL's Apple Music partnership as potential evidence.

Moreover, sources told Variety that Taylor would perform. The "Love Story" hitmaker has a partnership with Coca-Cola, so with Pepsi no longer serving as the sponsor for the Super Bowl, the connection was made that she could serve as the headliner.

The NFL has yet to announce who the performers will be when the Super Bowl is held at Glendale, Arizona's State Farm Stadium on February 12, 2023.
