The deceased body of the 30-year-old Philadelphia hip-hop artist will finally be released to his family after the rapper's brother blasts the medical examiner's office for 'going against' their religion.

AceShowbiz - PnB Rock's body will finally be sent home. The deceased body of the 30-year-old Philadelphia hip-hop artist is set to be released amid conflict with the family over their religious burial.

TMZ reported on Sunday, September 18 that the "Selfish" hitmaker's body will be sent back to Philadelphia, but the process behind the scenes has been drama-filled between them and officials, even requiring police intervention. Multiple sources told the news outlet that the rapper's mother wanted her son's body right away because of religious reasons, but the medical examiner wouldn't give it up because his death is part of a larger homicide investigation.

PnB's brother, PnB Meen, alluded to this on social media, saying the family was having issues with the medical examiner's office. "We been having trouble getting my brother's [body] back to Philadelphia," he wrote via Instagram.

"The [city] of Los Angeles claiming they have some type of law going against ours as Muslims. Now I have no clue when his Janazah. It's not right yo," PnB Meen stated. "It's going on a week. Prayers up. I got you big bro, and ya daughters."

Prior to PnB Meen's social media post, his mother left Philly for Los Angeles after she was notified that her son had been shot and killed at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles restaurant on Monday, September 12. She reportedly headed straight to the medical examiner's office to identify her son's body and request for him to be released to the family.

PnB Rock's mother demanded that the rapper's body be handed over immediately due to religious reasons, as PnB Meen had stated. According to their beliefs, burial rituals should take place within 72 hours.

However, tensions began to rise after the family was told that their request for immediate release would not be processed. Subsequently, it is reported that Los Angeles Police Department officials had to call into the Los Angeles Coroner's office to further help mediate the situation and keep all parties calm.

Previously, the medical examiner's office declined to immediately release PnB Rock's body because his death is now a part of a larger homicide investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department and others. Additionally, despite it going against the rapper's religion, it is also reported that the medical examiner's office did indeed conduct an autopsy, as is law in California. The autopsy proved that the rapper's death was ruled as a homicide, citing that he died from a gunshot wound to his back/chest areas.
