After the British monarch's passing was announced, Abbie Chatfield takes to her Instagram account to remind people about Britain's colonial history and mock King Charles III in the process.

AceShowbiz - TV and radio personality Abbie Chatfield seemingly has little sympathy for late Queen Elizabeth II. Hours after the monarch's passing was announced, Abbie took to her Instagram account to remind people about Britain's colonial history and mock King Charles III in the process.

In a video shared on Friday morning, September 9, the 27-year-old told her followers that she woke up to the news of the Queen's death. "OK, so the Queen is dead. Obviously sad that someone has died, sad for her family. The colonialism not great, monarchy not my favorite thing in the world, but the thing I want to- I got a bit sick about is the Zoe King," she said in the clip which saw her in her bed.

"I just saw a video that was like, 'King Charles made a statement.' King? King? King Charles?" she added. Further slamming the new King of Britain, she continued, "Also from what I gather, he isn't very competent. Not that they really do anything, but he isn't very kind. I don't know, I've never heard a good thing about Charles."

Abbie went on to say, "And also, this isn't 1700s. 'The King'? Ew! Ew! Oh, my God. I knew this day was coming, but I don't like it. 'King Charles...,' " before retching as if she was about to vomit.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II died "peacefully" at her Balmoral estate on Thursday afternoon. "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow," a message on the official royal family website read. Her son, Prince Charles, becomes King immediately following her death.
