The 'Mama June: From Not to Hot' star sends a lengthy, touching message to her estranged daughter on her 17th birthday while also apologizing to the teen.

AceShowbiz - Mama June (June Shannon) doesn't forget her daughter Honey Boo Boo's (Alana Thompson) birthday despite their strained relationship. The "Mama June: From Not to Hot" star sent a lengthy message to Alana on her 17th birthday while also apologizing to the teen.

In a text message obtained by TMZ, Mama June could be seen writing to her daughter, "Happy bday hope u have a good day." She added, "Just know I am very proud of u with everything... graduating high school which [is] a big deal. I know I have put [you] through a lot and Im sorry."

The 43-year-old reality TV star also let her daughter know that she's "here now" whenever she needs her. "I know I'm not perfect by no means but I'm trying my best," the "Mama June: Road to Redemption" star went on to write. "I know there is ALOT to be worked and work Through but I have confidence that [we] will."

Mama June ended her message by sending Alana love.

The picture showed that the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" alum appreciated the loving message as she could be seen double-tapping the text and "hearting" it. According to Mama June, the high school student thanked her mom in her reply and told her that she loves her too.

Mama June and Alana become estranged after the former was arrested for drug possession in 2019. In April, Mama June's other daughter Pumpkin a.k.a. Lauryn Shannon was officially granted custody of Alana.

"I do see her, I do talk to her," Mama June previously told Page Six of the new agreement. "We do communicate. So it wasn't like any difference. "The only difference is she's not sitting right here beside me in my home every day."

Despite living apart, Mama June wished to mend their relationship and get her life back as she is in recovery for substance abuse. "Alana knows that the door is always open. She knows that I've always been here," she shared in May. "Again, she's a teenager and teenagers are going to be teenagers. That's the best way I can say that."
