AceShowbiz - Aubrey O'Day is finally speaking out. Breaking her silence, the former Danity Kane member has issued a lengthy statement on social media after she was accused of photoshopping herself into exotic vacation photos.
Making use of her Instagram account on Sunday, August 21, the 38-year-old singer and TV reality star slammed a TikTok user, @residualdata, for calling her out. "took the PJ to Heaven in the last 24.. wanted to share with y'all how beautiful it was.. also ran into Jesus and we hugged it out. He told me to let the lil bird on tiktok with SO much to say about my life.. that she needs to stop washing her p***y in the sink," she blasted, "We are adults baby, you gotta run the whole thing through the water."
"Respect my aesthetic, I work hard to give y'all beautiful content that feels the way the places I travel vibrate.. because I want y'all to vibrate high with me," Aubrey stated. She also noted that she has been in the entertainment industry "for over 20 years and [she has been] traveling the world since [she] was 7."
Aubrey added, "I want my Instagram to be curated like a museum of ART then that's what the f**k is going to happen. I'm an artist, a REAL creator. I do all of my creative from my music to my flicks.. everything from my hair, glam, nails, styling, backdrops, editing, shooting, & the weather isn't always perfect when I shoot, and I vacation alone.. I don't need to be flown places." The former "Famously Single" star wrote, "Let alone the fact that a lot of the shots I give y'all are in places you have to spend hours scaling mountains to get to."
"lil tok girl, I am so sorry to your place of work that allows you to sit on my page all day with binoculars," Aubrey continued. "but I suggest you learn this lesson fast: you don't even need to concentrate on others to be your own version of special and necessary in this world.. you can make positive changes just by using your own gifts.. stop looking left and right if you wanna move forward."
On Saturday, Aubrey shared a cryptic post on Instagram Story, seemingly clapping back to the allegations. "Let the dead be dead … when others try to break you, embrace the gift you have been given to create a stronger spine," the "Showstopper" singer wrote over a selfie. "You know, the place I didn't really live."
Aubrey describes herself as a "world traveler" in the bio for her Instagram account, which is filled with eye-catching photos of her in such far-flung locales as Bali, Athens, Santorini, Bora Bora and the Maldives. In captioning each of the uploads, the musician, who's seen looking glamorous in the shots, shared philosophical and inspirational words with her followers of nearly 1 million.
