Earlier this month, the 'Spread' actress was involved in a serious car accident that left her in a coma for several days before she passed away on August 12.

AceShowbiz - Social media is still devastated over the death of Anne Heche. Internet users were even left in shock after new footage that saw the former star of "Hung" was alive and trying to get out of a burn bag after the fiery car crash surfaced.

The shocking footage, captured by FOX 11's Sky Fox camera, saw several Los Angeles Fire Department officials rolling a gurney out of the crash site, with the 53-year-old actress tied down and wrapped in a white burn bag.

However, seconds before the gurney was rolled into the back of the LAFD truck, Anne unzipped the bag and popped out of it before moving her body towards the workers as she tried to get up. "Oh my God, he's completely alive," one person nearby could be heard saying. "What the hell," another added. The reason that people said "he," was more than likely due to Anne's short haircut.

Anne was involved in a serious car crash on August 5. The accident ended with her crashing her blue Mini Cooper into a Mar Vista home rented by Lynne Mishele. Following the fiery crash, the "Spread" actress was taken to a nearby hospital with severe burns. She was then intubated.

A security camera at neighboring home captured Anne's car speeding down the street before it went through a house and caught fire. "The vehicle was heading east on Preston Way at a high rate of speed, entered the T intersection at Preston Way and Walgrove Ave, ran off the road and collided with the residence in the 1700 block of Walgrove," an LAPD spokesperson said in a statement. "The vehicle became engulfed in flames and the driver was transported to a local hospital by LAFD."

LAPD officer Annie Hernandez stated that the actress was under investigation for misdemeanor DUI and hit-and-run. Later, it was reported that after being given a blood test, Anne reportedly had cocaine and fentanyl in her system at the time of the car wreck.

Ultimately, Anne succumbed to her injuries and passed away on Friday, August 12 after she was declared brain dead. Following the heartbreaking news of her passing, a representative told Page Six, "We have lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy."

In a statement, Anne's family said, "Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. She is not expected to survive. It has long been her choice to donate her organs and she is being kept on life support to determine if any are viable."

On Sunday, August 14, Anne will be taken off life support after organ transplant recipients have been found. "Organ recipients have been identified and surgeons are ready to perform the implants once Heche has been removed from life support," a spokesperson told NBC News. The outlet went on to explain that "multiple organs" will be transplanted but it is not known at this time which ones.
