AceShowbiz - Doja Cat rocks her boldest hairstyle ever. Having often shown an unfiltered version of herself on social media, the hip-hop star has perhaps shocked her fans with her new shaved head which she debuted on Instagram.
On Thursday, August 4, the 26-year-old turned on her Live to show her buzz cut, which is shorter than before. On the reason why she decided to cut her hair down, she admitted that she never likes having hair.
"I like don't like having hair," Doja opened up to her followers. "I just do not like to have hair." She went on getting into detail as she described her experience of working out while wearing wigs.
"I remember feeling so f**king just exhausted with working out," she divulged, adding that her wig would be getting tacky because of the moisture and slipping from her head. She added that she "couldn't focus" on her workout " 'cuz I was more concerned with how I looked and how my hair was doing."
Not finished with the transformation, Doja also shaved her eyebrows during the same live session. Holding a pink heart mirror in one hand, she carefully used a razor to shave her eyebrow while she continued filming.
Doja's strange act has sparked concerns among some social media users, with one comparing the situation to Britney Spears' 2007 mental breakdown. "Doja Spears," the said person remarked. Another noted, "Stuff like this make me believe in mental health."
A third asked, "mental breakdown or sumn ?" while someone else claimed, "This S**t ain't normal bro." Someone else sent their prayer for Doja, but another fan said they "love it" anyway.
This isn't the first time Doja opened up about her frustration over her hair. Back in May 2020, an old video surfaced of her ranting about her 4C hair texture. "4C can suck my a**," she said in the video. "4C can bend over and lick my a**." Blaming God for giving her the hair texture, she added, "Jesus Christ...why even God was making this 4C hair."
After landing in hot water, the "Say So" hitmaker issued an apology as she explained her issue with her hair. "When my hair is straightened or I have a wig on, I'm pretty much OK. But when I'm trying to comb out, wash, do this twist, everything, it's frustrating for me. It's very hard for me," she shared her struggle with her natural hair.
