AceShowbiz - Mike Dean is no longer among the lineup for Kid Cudi's upcoming Moon Man's Landing Festival, much to the former's disappointment. The superproducer, instrumentalist and blunt god was initially set to perform in the festival that will kick off in September in Cleveland until someone apparently got his gig canceled.
He took to Twitter to vent following the sudden cancellation. "Looks like I won't be playing moon man's landing this year. Someone cancelled me," Dean wrote on Wednesday, August 3. "lol. Thanks. That's all. #immature."
When asked if he was referring to "cancel culture canceled," the musician laughed it off. He explained, "Lol no one can cancel me like that! Just some baby kid baby s**t." In a separate post, Dean also revealed, "What sucks is I canceled a mike dean solo show in la to play this."
Dean went on to rant on his account. "I'm off the regular mike dean artist rotation. Planting same crops every year gets stagnant. And boring to be honest," he wrote, before adding, "U PLAYED YOURSELF."
Some fans appeared to assume that the cancellation had something to do with Cudi's beef with Kanye West, one of Dean's biggest collaborators. Cudi previously publicly announced that he cut ties with Ye in a tweet which read, "I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye. I am not cool w that man. He's not my friend and I only cleared the song for [Pusha T] cuz thats my guy. This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye." They apparently started beefing after Ye pulled Cudi off from his album "Donda 2" because he's friends with Pete Davidson, who is now dating Ye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
Cudi, meanwhile, has yet to comment on Dean's allegations.
