AceShowbiz - Teyana Taylor is seemingly unfazed despite her husband's legal issue. The singer/actress is moving forward with her planned farewell tour after Iman Shumpert got arrested for weed possession over the weekend.
On Wednesday, July 3, the 31-year-old hyped up her upcoming concert series by sharing rehearsal pictures. In one of the images, she was seen holding her little daughter while on stage, with her elder child seen laying on the stage in the left side of the photo. She also showed the back of her black jumpsuit which read, "The Last Rose Motel."
Sharing her excitement, she wrote in the caption, "FIRST STOP: LA BABY!! It's almost show time in a few hours WOW!! It's really all hitting me..." She continued, "That this is officially the beginning of the final chapter for 'The Last Rose Petal Tour' saga."
"This final leg of #TLRP TOUR will be the most emotional for me as the petals completely fall," the "Wake Up Love" songstress shared. "I know all the love in the room will push me thru tho. I love you all so much & appreciate you for taking this joy ride with me.... But just remember, when one door closes, we have another one that opens. See you soon."
"The Last Rose Petal 2…Farewell Tour" is the second installment of Teyana's farewell tour, which she first announced last year. Initially slated to begin on June 19, it will now kick off on Wednesday night with the first stop in Los Angeles. It will run until September 8.
Teyana's Instagram post arrives just hours after news broke about Iman's arrest. The professional basketball player who is a free agent was arrested at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport on Saturday, July 30 for having a "sizeable" amount of marijuana in his backpack.
Per TMZ report, when TSA screeners discovered a plastic bag filled with a "green leafy substance" around 2:40 P.M. local time, the NBA star himself admitted that it was weed. The former "Dancing with the Stars" winner also tested positive for marijuana using a mobile test. He subsequently was taken into custody and transported to a nearby jail "without incident."
Iman was additionally caught having a Glock magazine and 14 9mm rounds in his bag although he didn't have a gun. The charge is classified as a "State Jail Felony," meaning he could face up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
Neither Iman nor Teyana has publicly addressed his arrest. Meanwhile, a video has surfaced of the arrest, showing the 32-year-old athlete with his hands behind his back while being escorted by two police officers.
