A few hours earlier, the 'Let Me Love You' hitmaker responded to the cheating allegations, noting that he and his wife of six years 'will work through' the challenges behind closed doors for the sake of their kids.

AceShowbiz - Ne-Yo seemingly has something to say. The "Let Me Love You" hitmaker made use of his social media platform to let out a cryptic post about "bad story" after his wife Crystal Smith accused him of cheating with "numerous women."

On Sunday, July 31, the "So Sick" crooner took to Instagram Story to repost an Instagram Reel from @battlegroundjkdllc. A man's voice could be heard saying, "Even if u hear a bad story about me, first…understand." The voice continued, "There was a time I was good to those people, but they won't tell u that!!"

Ne-Yo's post arrived after Crystal hinted that she's now "free." Turning to her Instagram page, she shared a clip of her dancing to GloRilla and Hitkidd's track "F.N.F. (Let's Go)". In the short video, GloRilla could be heard rapping, "And I'm S-I-N-G-L-E again/ Outside hanging out the window with my ratchet-a** friends/ I'm F-R-E-E, f**k-n***a free/ That mean I ain't gotta worry 'bout no f**k-n***a cheating." She simply captioned her post with a single biting lip emoji.

Not stopping there, Crystal also took to her Instagram Story to share a cryptic message. Over a black screen, Ne-Yo's wife of six years wrote, "can't compete where you could never compare."

On Saturday, Crystal, who tied the knot with Ne-Yo in 2016, exposed him for his alleged cheating habits in a lengthy Instagram post. "8 years. 8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them! To say I'm heartbroken and disgusted is a [sic] understatement," she began.

"To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn't," she went on lamenting. "I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect I gained 3 beautiful children out of this but nothing else but wasted years and heartache."

Crystal then pleaded with fans to "please stop sending me videos and information of him cheating because what he does is no longer my concern." She further stressed that she's "not a victim," noting, "I'm choosing to stand tall with my head held high. If someone can't love you the way you deserve then it's up to you to love yourself. With no hate in my heart I wish him nothing but the best."

In response, Ne-Yo released a statement via Twitter, noting that "my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors" for "the sake of our children." The 42-year-old R&B star added, "Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family's privacy at this time."

Ne-Yo and Crystal called it quits in early 2020, but they reconciled. The "Miss Independent" crooner proposed to Crystal once again on New Year's Eve and eventually remarried in April on a rooftop of the new Resorts World complex in Las Vegas.
